Gayatri has been teaching yoga since 1999 and brings over two decades of experience in both practice and teaching. She serves as a Professor of Yoga at American University (since 2011), where she has guided hundreds of students toward greater self-awareness, strength, and peace through the wisdom of yoga and Ayurveda.
A certified Ayurveda practitioner, Gayatri integrates ancient healing principles with modern understanding of wellness. She received her Vinyasa Yoga certification from Tranquil Space Yoga Studio in 2008 and spent 14 years living at Shanti Yoga Ashram, immersing herself deeply in traditional yogic lifestyle and philosophy.
Her passion for holistic well-being inspired her to create a unique program combining Yoga, Ayurveda, Infant Massage, and Hypnotic Birth Preparation to support mothers through the prenatal and postpartum journey.
In addition to her yoga and Ayurveda expertise, Gayatri is a certified hypnotherapist and sound healer, bringing a deeply therapeutic and soulful touch to her teaching. Her classes weave together mindful movement, breath awareness, and inner stillness — creating a space where body, mind, and spirit can reconnect and thrive.
